Default The Great Republican Hope

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e6iYOTVWnl4

Sarah Palin is better than any commercial the democrats could come up with not to mention its free. Did any of you see this interview?

This is the problem with the Republican party. Right here. Not Sarah Palin herself...she is just a symptom.

My republican friends on here-Are you really serious about having this human be the face of your party?

Just keep giving that nut a mic. She's so concerned about these girls she named after trees n' planes? Really? How did these kids find out that brother Trig's face had special needs?.....They looked at him. That's how they had to find out.

At least the republicans on this site have long given up the futile efforts to rally around Sarah and promote her as viable.

The sad part is that their is not a single person that Republicans CAN promote.

Right now it is a steel cage match between Newt, dick, rush and sarah.

3 yrs ago no one outside of IL knew who Obama was. Maybe some remember a convention speech.

Trouble is here in IL we knew who he was and the people he surrounded himself with. Of course those guys now are either being quiet, are spewing anti semetic nonsense or are locked up in Federal Custody.

But Dellinger, your post here and every other post you make does nothing but cast a big shining light on my original point. Your only answer these days is to talk about reverends and witch doctors, etc. That is the problem with the republican party.

If Pepsi wants to sell drinks, it has to show why it is the best drink and make people feel like drinking it is better than drinking any other drink on the planet and we will like what are drinking. Right now, The republican message is simply that coke tastes bad and we shoud drink pepsi or we are doomed.

What is the republican message? Who is delivering it?

You can't answer that question and none of your brethren can either. And until you can, the party will remain dysfunctional.

c'mon who was the speaker for the Dems prior to Obama? The Clintons? The guy ran against a lame duck candidate with his biggest premise Oh I mean promise being HOPE whatever that is. When we dance again I think 'it's the economy stupid' saying may come out again only it will be coming from us. But until then I'll live as a socialist.

Just wish we could make our checks to the IRS in the amount of HOPE.

most people on the street couldn't identify a picture of Biden or Chaney so how many remember the speech? And I meant most people as in 'some people' remember the DNC speech, which I know was more than 3 yrs ago. That's why I said it.......

That speech energized the democrats and gave a huge boost going into the next election. He was their star in the making and if it wasnt going to be 2008, it was obvious that somewhere along the way Obama would be a big voice in the party.

Where is that Republican voice?

Here's an interesting, hopeful article: http://www.thedailybeast.com/blogs-a...d=bs:archive15

I agree, the GOP needs to start looking for leaders among strong, respected intellectuals and people with deep policy strengths.

Sarah Palin and her ilk are only useful for firing up and creating ignorant but angry mobs. Not what's needed in politics. Her ridiculous "rise up!" call to people over David Letterman has sealed her fate as never-ready-for-prime-time-voice in the GOP.

The GOP can reinvent itself by adhering, not to guns and religion, but to ideas.

Bush ran the first time on "change and hope"
