He was never going to be the next Citation, but he was fun to watch and easy to root for. Horses who do nothing but show-up and run a decent race are hard to knock.

His trainer is apparently a POLY basher. I'd bet a dollar to a doughnut that if there were POLY training tracks out there this horse might still be in training.

Sounds as plausible as the theory that POLY breaks more of them down.
