Default Andy Pettite perfect through 6

Hes got 9 more outs remaining to nab a perfect game. Would be the first for the Yankees since Wells in 98. Lets get it done!

Yankees are playing great. It will be fun to see them flame out in the playoffs.

Damn, even as a Yankee hater I wanted to see that go down.
I feel bad for that 3rd baseman.

I wish the playoffs would just get here already. This last month will drag. Looks like the Rangers really need to go on a run. All Boston has to do is win a couple more series, avoid a huge slide and they are in. Cant see how the AL teams wont be: Yanks, Tigers, Angels & Red Sox.
NL teams look like they have to be Phils, Cards, Dodgers and Giants/Rockies winner.

What about the Tigers being a possible upsetter to the Yankees? They have great 1-2 starters but they do have trouble hitting. In a 5 game series, they have a big shot.

Not much. But the old guys will eventually fade and the starting pitching will not be there come october. The Yankees unwittingly gave themselves the best chance to win by making the new Yankee stadium into Coors east by playing to the strength of their lineup and decreasing the importance of pitching.

Dodgers are praying for the WS, as that is the only time Thome will get a full game of at-bats. He'll just be a PH for the rest of the year.

I can't see Broxton out there closing out the World Series. I think Nuclear war is far more likely. Only way it could happen is if ya blind fold n' ear plug her, and get a nice cushion lead. Make sure she knows there is a lead, but don't tell that scared bitch how big a lead..ever!.......ever! When she starts trying to glance at the scoreboard, shock her with a previously planted remote-controlled electrical device.

Manny has much love for this Jim guy. Was he ever on a winning WS team? I don't think so. So, they are giving the (at times lazy-appearing) Manny every incentive possible to perform. From what I remember, Manny said he wanted to finish his career on the same team as this Mr. Jim guy. Some kind of weird Manny wish, and so, basically, they got Manny's favorite uncle to come be at the party.

That was a funny play he made in the field last night. Some kind of route to the ball.
