On his game.

I loved the comment after the race - "and if your heart can take it, we still have two more races for you"

I'm not big into calls and all that, but I just watched the race again and that just gave me goose bumps. Pretty cool!

I was pretty happy that he kept the "Rachel Alexander" slips to a minimum. 'Rachel Alexandra the Great' indeed.

I like your big race calls much better. Most of the Big Time race callers do an excellent job. It's like listening to baseball on the radio, some broadcasters style suit some people better then others. Vin Scully vs. John Sterling is night and day but both are pro's. Other then saying Durkin has lost a little in typical overnight races, he is still a terriffic listen. Your Cesario call is still my fav.

there is no right or wrong answer, Durkin is the best of all time, in my opinion, yet VJS' Cesario call is my all time favorite. That being said Robert Gellar is one of my favorite, and he is a far different style than vic or durkin.

there are many amazing announcers here and abroad

But Durkin's call was almost as great as Rachel's performance!!! He was brilliant yesterday

Hey, if none of the horses NEED TO SPROUT WINGS, I'm calling it good.

Seriously, Durkin stepped up big with a great call of a super effort by RA.

I think one of my favorite Durkin calls is "Man oh Mandela, what a day!"
