Default Arlington Final Day

Great summer meet marred by the lifetime injuries sustained by two jocks one of whom was the longtime reigning champ. If I had one wish for the future it would be the opening up of AP's concessions to more than one company. The place though as beautiful as ever has become overly corporate and way over managed leaving one with the taste of generic rice cake. Best quote from a Arlington employee when asked to turn on the five TV's in the park covering other tracks as well as AP, "We don't turn those on until the first race" I asked first race where? And for the first time in his life he discovered simulcasting.

Best quote from Levy employee was that will be $33.00 (for a round of six beers) and you'll need two people to help carry them (when 4 of 5 friends were in an arms distance from her.

That said w/a 57K carry likely to go to 80-90K I'm going to take a stab at the place 9.

5/1,4/6,9/2,6/3,6/3/4,7,9/4,6/4 $96 as a $1 play.

Best character of the meet is the guy from yesterday yelling "Cmon INEZ" and 'Cmon 4 HORSE' in the paddock while listening to an actual walkman with an actual TAPE in it, holstered on his side
