Thanks, Steve. Isn't that actually a little low for Girolamo? The track was quick yesterday, but not THAT fast and 1:33 is scorching. I'm surprised at the lack of attention he's getting on racing boards - that was a terrific performance. I really hope he does NOT go to the BC.

111 for the Gallant Bob? Please! It is a guess, and a bad one at that.

It was a two horse race and the first half was run by a horse that collasped. While the horse could be very good exactly how good do you want to make the second place finisher?

Fred, calm down. Burleys Gold is a solid horse, better then most that were on the triple crown trail. Giralomo is the goods and I dont think there is any doubting that after yesterday.

I don't doubt he is OK..Let's see he take the next step.. The figure seems correct and that means he will need to improve 5 to 8 lengths to run with the first flight competition

a 97 on zen is strange, the way she ran down those other fillies down with ease is amazing.

You should write Beyer and suggest he add pleasing to the eye to the calculation.

Yes ... Zenyatta may have only run a 97 Beyer ... but I calculated a 114 Visual 'Beyer figure of the eye' for her.

Well ... I have calculated the winner running a 117 Beyer 'Heart figure.'

It was a very gutsy, game, big hearted performance from a horse who was bought for less than 2k at public auction as a weanling.

I calculated a 125 Beyer Name figure for Girolamo.

What a great wop name! For people who bet solely on the basis of names .. I think he might be one of the all-time greats.

He may have had some of the good stuff in him ... but I've seen other first time Dutrow runners over the years score in the 120's.

Hey Savantore, did you see your hero Moss get that INT yesterday?

The only one Orton has thrown all year funny enough.

But yeah, a certain genius here thinks it was a bad play because he caught it instead of slapping it down.

When you're 6 foot 6 inches tall ... have a 44 inch vertical leap ... have the wingspan of a giant ... and was a national McDonald's all-american high school slam dunk contest champion ... it's probably best to just catch the damn thing. It's not like anyone else in the pile had a chance at going up with him.

If Moss had been a vollyball player ... I guess he could have spiked it down ... but since he can get so high it probably would have deflected off of someone else and ended up being a fluky Bronc's TD.
