Default Hollywood Park to Remain Open in 2010

From what I have heard, there will definitely be racing at Hollywood Park in 2010. There is still a chance that the track could close in 2011 or 2012 but there will definitely be racing in 2010. They don't have the money to do that huge development project right now.

I'm also hearing that there is a very good chance that Santa Anita will go back to regular dirt next year.

Not that it means anything, but those are the first two tracks I ever visited. I was just a kid, but I kinda have a sentimental thing you know. Hollywood is a gem in a neighborhood that has gone by the wayside. My first track to visit was Santa Anita. My Grandparents took me there. Dirt again. Gosh I could only hope. Next to Oaklawn, there's no prettier backdrop. Go baby go.

If they go back to dirt - run it at Santa Anita every year.

Vic, does this mean you have to give uo your boys book? If so welcome back, surely Hollywood would allow you to be an agent and call races..BTW Vic I always loved your calls!!!

With the quality of racing at Oak Tree this meeting...

will there be any actual mule races next year? That would be great.
