WON R8 – OC80k / N3X #5 Newport Harbour – Looking for improvement with the switch back to dirt. 2nd #3 Choragus – Has been battling with some quality runners and has big shot here. 3rd #7 Distinctive Dixie – Works indicate that she’s ready for her return. Hard to leave out though. #1 Get Stormy – On a roll, but I can’t ignore the (4-0-0-0) record at the distance. WON R10 – MSW 46k (2yo 7F) #3 Regal King – Bennett knows how to have one ready at 1st asking. #9 Silver Craft – Has the experience edge and a race earlier in the meeting. ![]() Gus,
This is probably nitpicky and I certainly won't fault you for playing against a short-priced horse, but how can you take Get Stormy's record at 8.5F at face value? The first try was at the distance was in '08 in his debut when he set the pace. Then he had a wide trip. Then he went to Tampa, opened up a huge lead, and dumped the jock. Then he couldn't get out in the lane vs. a field with four next-out winners. |

Get Stormy is 2-1 with 8 MTP and my top selection Grizzled Robert is a ice cold 21-1.
