Default Police officers shot and killed - RIP

How do you get to be a released multiple-convictions felon (Huckabee, good work), who, when most recently brought up on child rape charges, is out on bail So you can go blow away four poor police officers in a coffeeshop?

Who gives bail for child rape charges to convicted felons!?? What am I missing here?

mike huckabee can kiss any presidential aspirations good-bye after this tragedy. this is the second felon who had a sentence commuted by huck to then become the subject of an intense manhunt.
he let a convicted rapist free. the guy went to missouri and killed a woman. now this many time loser is wanted for killing four police officers. bad enough he was let go, but even worse that he was granted bail in washington. BUT, had huck(ster) not felt that he knew so much better than a jury then this guy wouldn't have been free to commit more crimes in another state. the word around here was always that if you said you had found jebus, huck would give you a get out of jail free card. and he did it a LOT.

Not a fan of Huckaby by any stretch, but that scum served 12 yrs....and the subsequent authorities had ample opportunity to put this guy away for life. The fact that he blew away 4 innocent people is incomprehensible...hopefully he'll bleed out and save the state the trouble!

That would be too good for him. A nice nicked bowel with a slow septic peritonitis would make me happy. I hope he doesn't choose suicide by police officer, and kill any more.

Huckabee should give his salary the remainder of his political career to the 4 families. Sickening and WTF is w/Arkansas? Too many cousins I guess.

Though he did not directly pardon Mr. Dumond, who was convicted of raping a 17-year-old relative of Bill Clinton, Huckabee is alleged to have played a role in influencing the prison board that decided to release Dumond in 1997. He denies the charge, which became a point of controversy during his first bid for the White House in 2008.

Dumond was later convicted of another murder, and sentenced to life in prison. He was also suspected of raping and murdering a pregnant woman just one day before his 2001 arrest, though he died in prison before he could be charged.

In a world of many sad stories this one has depressed me more than usual. If you are a cop you expect to be in danger, but not while you are doing paperwork in a diner. RIP.

it's cases like this one that show our jail system is broken. career violent criminals are let loose due to overcrowding...but they somehow find plenty of room for dope smokers, crack users and the like.

my condolences to the families of those four police officers. this should not have happened. thanks to a worthless pol, it did.

Guy obviously had severe mental issues. Should have been locked up in a home a long time ago getting help, not in jail with the option for freedom.

"He had said that the Secret Service was coming to get him because he had written a letter to the president," an affidavit quoted her as telling investigators.

i'd have rather had him locked up as he should have been years ago. there'd be four families that wouldn't be in mourning right now. but no, some effing politician was told this guy found god, so he cut him loose. that's five people dead now because of mike huckabee, super preacher.

Oh I think the judge who gave him a bond he could make on a child rape case, with his criminal past bears some blame.

Simply shocking that they let this guy out to begin with? The fact that he raped a relative of Bill Clinton may prompt people to think that the release was to somehow piss off the Clintons. Huckebee is done. There is no way to spin out of this... It happened on his watch.

the problem there is that many times judges are hamstrung by rules regarding bonds and when they can be denied. they can set it high, but they can't just not set it in many cases. the other problem is that those arrested only have to put up one tenth of the amount of bond. $150k is a lot of money, $15k is a lot easier to come up with.

but, had his original sentence not been commuted, we wouldn't even be having this discussion.

apparently at least four friends and relatives of his have been arrested so far for helping him escape. more arrests to come.

like i said above, our whole justice system needs to be examined.

you're confusing this case with wayne dumond, another granted clemency by huck only to commit murder.
