Unloading on Good Reward
Kev asked in the other thread so here goes.
To me this is an excellent spot for Good Reward. The race at Prarie was much much better than it looked as that trip was dreadful. His form is still strong and if he can move some of his turf numbers to the dirt he should be right there. Also, Shug doesn't ship like this often so pay attention. 10 furlongs hits him right between the eyes and what cinches it for me is the horses he will face. Lava Man's last race was grueling, the stumble the duel, this is a spot where he must be played against. Giacomo, who I caught last time, is a contender but he's not that fast in my opinion, so I can play against him. The rest of the field does nothing for me. At 10-1 ML, which I think you'll get, with Giac and Lava taking a lot of money, it is a large play for me. |

Thanks Randy...you are as good a handicapper as I know, so I will take Good Reward very seriously. You are not the first great handicapper to tell me that you like Good Reward in this spot. |

Mike I'll be up next week for a few days before the Travers. That chill can be scary in the morning. When my Aunt had her Bed N Breakfast up there I used to sleep on an enclosed porch. Sometimes I'd be absolutely freezing in the morning.

I actually love fall weather and the colder mornings. Guess I am a 4 season kind of guy. The only part of the year I dont like is Feb-Mar, when winter seems to drag.
Good luck with Good Reward, he has pulled a big upset before when he beat Artie Schiller in I what I think was the Manhattan. Cant fault anybody for trying to beat a vulnerable favorite, and lets face it, every favorite is vulnerable. For me this is a watch and root for a horse whom I've grown to really admire. One of the best stories in horse racing right now and I dont want it to end until after he wins the BC Classic. |

Can't be the least bit disappointed by that run. Lava was too tough in the stretch. More pace and it could've been different. Still a significant win betting across.
