NHC Tour seeking feedback on Tourney

In an effort to improve the National Handicapping Championship (NHC) and the NHC Tour, the National Thoroughbred Racing Association (NTRA) Players Committee is soliciting your feedback. This is your chance to have a say in future events. With your help, we can make both the NHC and the NHC Tour bigger and better and capable of attracting and retaining racing fans from all walks of life.

For those of you not familiar with the NHC or the NHC Tour, following is a brief description of each:

- The DRF/NTRA National Handicapping Championship (NHC) is a year-end tournament with the winner earning $500,000 and the title of Handicapper of the Year, including recognition at the Eclipse Awards the following year. Contestants must qualify (there are no "buy-ins") in one of over 100 qualifying tournaments conducted throughout the year at various venues across the country. NHC XI will be held in Las Vegas on January 29-30, 2010. Click on the following link for more information about NHC XI:

- The NHC TOUR is a yearlong bonus series offering additional prize money and qualifying berths to the DRF/NTRA National Handicapping Championship (NHC). The winner of the 2009 TOUR title will be eligible for a $2 Million bonus if they also win NHC XI. Anybody over 21 (with a few exceptions) can join the TOUR at any time during the year simply by registering and paying a joining fee. Membership in the TOUR makes you eligible to earn tour points and also allows you to enter several free tournaments held exclusively for NHC TOUR members only. 2009 is only the second year of the NHC TOUR.
