Default Gulfstream Park Questions

Alright, it is a 5 hour drive for me. I have never been, so any help is appreciated.

I am planning on heading down in a couple weeks, so if anyone can give me the in's and outs it will be greatly appreciated. I could care less about casino gambling, I'm there for live racing.

I plan on taking a 2 1/2 day trip, leaving after work and spending 2 days at the track. So, a decent hotel you may know of in the $60-$75 a night range, a nice local restaurant venue, local attractions etc etc to make it an experience.

Thanks!

You might want to try Priceline or the like for a hotel. Otherwise it is going to be very hard to any kind of decent hotel in that price range this time of the year.

When are you going? Next Saturday they have some pretty nice stakes races lined up--let's hope they get good fields.

We have a member of the board who'll officially be working at GP. Congrats to Travis Stone, who has been hired as Chief Equine Defacation Officer (CEDO).

He can probably help you with some particulars after getting settled in down in Florida.

I'd like to know if they plan to get the entries up for Sunday before the year is over.

Haven't spent a second handicapping it yet .. but here are some extremely unvaluable fun tidbits.

Causeway's Kin gets a pretty huge trainer change in the 1st. Thomas The Great returns from the grave.

Praying For Cash is in for a 40K tag in the 2nd race - he's gone downhill a bit since running 2nd to Bluegrass Rat in the Haskell.

Rexson's Rose goes in the 6th race - he's currently on a 33 race losing streak - which includes a 2nd place finish to the all-mighty Commentator in the Richter Scale..one of just 3 lifetime Graded Stakes wins by the 2nd best horse of the decade to never win a championship. He faces P. Giacopelli's big horse and a bunch of others who will be much stronger bet.

If Quality Road is right mentally and physically - he should be able to almost name his margin in the Hal's Hope.
