Good Luck Gus! Hope they stay on the turf today. Just saw that they are running at night on Friday.

The course at FG is a disaster and I'd be surprised to see them on the turf in the next two weeks. The freezing temps have ruined it completely and most of the stretch is a lovely shade of brown. Here's to hoping they get it corrected quickly, but I don't see them being on before 1/23 when they have the Lecomte and other assorted stakes.

Thanks Tom, I'm also looking forward to the 5pm CT start on Friday.

Nick, I concur it's been a mess.

I can't believe how bad it looks. It was suppose to be completely redone from last year where it probably looked better

Then why card 4 turf races in a 9 race card if the course has been a mine field for weeks? Any thoughts to FG following GP lead by adding a second turf course next year. FG had to know starting prior to Thanksgiving this year was going to cause problems with wear and tear on the turf course. Very strange not to just shut it down for a couple weeks if it is that bad but hopefully they stop carding turf if you know they are not going to allow them to run.

How are the handle numbers for the first couple months Travis? It's a little difficult to compare different meet starting times but average daily handle should comparable.

It is off the turf, as suspected!

Race #6 01/11/2010
Fair Grounds
$0.5 Pick-4
# 1,2,3,8,9,13
WT # 2,3
WT # 2,3,8,11

Six deep wasn't enough either. What a run by Lil' Moor Dixie, nearly getting up after losing it at the start.
