![]() MLK Day carryover sequence proved unhittable Monday at the Big A as outsider type winners mounted up with Hazaam's Backer (from trainer Eddie Barker) the particular culprit in the 5th. Barker seems to be creating a list of completely implausable winners lately, and his 7-1 surprise package was perhaps 300-1 within the P6. The result was $111,900 being at large today. But the skein today is every bit as imposing as the Sunday/Monday sextets turned out to be, so it's hard to know how much to invest here. If you missed Tuesday's ATR, Andy Serling and I walk through the 4th-9th starting at 6:35pm. Watch and listen to Andy's and Eric Donovan's preview of the card at 11:35am on "Talking Horses" at NYRA.com.

Form is one thing... I'm just curious how suddenly that horses discovers speed she has never displayed before. Certainly wasn't finely honed for a hustling performance in the morning.

![]() only way this thing carries is if the westpoint loses in the 8th to someone other than cleric, otheriwse it would be a shocking upset regardless of the results in the 7th and 9th.

![]() can you imagine the poor guys that worked through the 1st 4 races, with the notion of singles in the 5th and 6th leg (like i did but i didn't have the martin in the 7th race, who could?) and have that horse hang like that for the length of the stretch?
i thought anna n was good? i think she needs to get stronger with her ability to finish... i needed her for 3 (5 of 6) tickets...uugh |

For those who like her, please don't give me the "look what she did in the 6th race?" arguement. They ran around in a circle. While we are on the subject of the female jockey, Ms Studart had a whale of a ride on the 5th in Indy Forum. She's not smart enough to get out of a jackpot, and not strong enough to do anything other than "ride" the horse. She had all the momentum coming off the turn, and was hopelessly blocked. Let's hope Persaud finds a real jock next time out, and maybe we'll get even better that the 4-1 I got yesterday. Last edited by NoLuvForPletch : 01-22-2010 at 11:44 AM. |
