Default Tampa Bay Saturday Early Double

Won't get to take in the action live, and will be tied up most of the day but will get some action down as there looks to be some upsetters in the first leg of the DD sequence here -

Race 1

1 Pyrite Halo 10-1 - Gets the sorely needed stretch-out beaten only 2 1/4 lengths in an ALW N2X @ Mountaineer - the last time she saw two turns - Pyrite Runners have been very respectable thus far the meet
3 Dancetothetempo 9-2 - Chased a fast pace & spit the bit last - should have it her own way on the front this time; Felix Ortiz riding very well and could well be north of the morning price by post time WON
6 Wallingford 4-1 - Haw Shipper broke out of the funk over the surface last out for Joan Scott with Inez back up & should be the one to take the charge late at Dancetothetempo 3rd

Going to play against the 4 Kate C 9-5 as she clearly towers over these from a class standpoint and will take a ridiculous amount of the attention but the formula of "Huge Drop" + "1 uninspiring work in 90 days" usually = "Needs one and don't care to lose her".
If she beats me, she'll do it at a stupid price so c'est la vie. DFL

Race 2

7 Carrtune Express 7-2 - The Waz off the schnide! Clearly the best of the field on the front end and nobody to go with her, not much of a contest. WON

DD
1,3,6//7 61.20

He goes on rolls like this - he wins a couple, then the other 48 of his 50 horses run and it dries up again.

Waz won one yesterday, the avy was changed within minutes.

I actually loved Carrtune Express last time on the stretchout, but alas she was just a tad short. Go figure.

While that is a nice picture, it doesn't quite resemble a certain track announcer known for his "dulcet" tones

He slipped away before Rudeboy could get a better shot. So far, we only have the blurry deer in the headlights pic.

It's like getting a photo of the elusive Bigfoot.

HUGE day at The Downs yesterday. Ida Paquette and The Waz both getting their first win of the meet

Gotta love it when Paquette's winner in the first paid 4-1 and the race prior, at the same level, he went off at 101-1

You guys can have Waz in the 2nd. I'm playing against him winning a race 2 days in a row.

Ronnie Allen Sr. got his first yesterday too.

Go ahead and grab you some Stormin Wildcat in the 5th, then watch In My Glory to upset them in the 6th (turf only). Take the money from those two victories and dump it all on My Power Bullet in the 8th and you'll have a nice day.

I was just trying to find an Ocala Breeders Sale work for Stormin Wildcat. You're reading my mind again.

Now that I've looked at the early double, WHY IN THE WORLD WOULD YOU GUYS WANT TO BET THESE 2 RACES?

I love Bedouin in the nightcap. 3 in :37.1 from the gate over the sand is awfully fast for 12,500 maidens at TBD. That being said, Yamil will most like send the 4 from the gate and lead them the whole way.

I'm not a big Connie Kendall off the 9 month layoff going 7f kind of guy.

But that's just me.

Off the turf today.

I'm not either, but if that work is correct, it's too tough to ignore at this level.

It's a surprisingly strong field for Mdn 12.5 - I've seen worse horses in mdn 50's lately... That's a tough post to get over in a race like this.
