Unhappy Kinsella Euthanized?

I saw some news that Kinsella broke down during a workout at Santa Anita on Sunday and was euthanized? Carlsbad was euthanized on track last month while working over the PRO-RIDE surface. What the heck is going on here?

Both were very nice horses. Very disturbing news...

It is very sad.

But I would not assume it was caused by a track surface (be it dirt, turf, or artificial) until you find out what exactly happened.
