Same pattern from Mott every year. Starts off very slow in January and February. It almost seems methodical. The group trains in a relaxed manner up at Payson. They start to gain momentum into mid spring. This is the general trend of the barn, obviously doesn't apply to every horse. Gets even better when the group vans up north in May......we know the drill the rest of the summer and Belmont fall.

I have alot of good luck betting Romans horses at the start of meets. And while he is a big betting barn and the board will almost tell you everything you need to know, he still sneaks some in once in a while.

It is almost time to start betting against them. They are gonna get cold, it is how it always rolls.

Exactly like Catalano at Arlington, he always starts guns blazing, and then July-ish he cools off for about 30-45 days and then towards the end he gets hot....
