Apparently they have no first and second round picks this season. So their only chance to improve is through free agency. I'm guessing that they are under enormous pressure after last years flop and are going to try to land the big fish in this years free agent class.

Whoever signs Peppers will no doubt be overpaying for what they will get out of him.

Most likely means Desmond Clark will be out. Still predicting less production for Olsen anyways.

Tough divison between the Vikings and Pack. Looks like the Bears and Lions are going to try to buy their way back into contention in this uncapped year. Can't really blame them as I'm sure that the fan base is tired of struggling.

Clark is not out, he is real inexpensive because he already got paid. Olson is gone for what will probably be a 3rd round pick, but I have heard 2nd round.

As for how I feel, the real problem of our comedy offensive line hasn't been solved. Frank OMG still doesn't block people.

Clark was due a bonus today, so since they didn't cut him yesterday, he's staying. They really need 2 WR's and a OG and OT... the line's so bad, they ought to give them capes (they block like a matador anyway). Safety wouldn't hurt either.

The main problem with trading Olson is that he is the only guy on a Martz offense that can actually catch the ball.

Bears agreed to terms with TE Brandon Manumaleuna on a five-year contract.

New offensive coordinator Mike Martz gets his man, and it spells bad news for incumbent blocker Desmond Clark. Manumaleuna, 6'2/295, is one of the best blocking tight ends in the league, which is an integral characteristic for a tight end in Mike Martz's offense. While the Chicago Tribune speculates that Greg Olsen will maintain a large role, it's not going to happen in the receiving game. Look for Manumaleuna to be the Bears' new starter.

Salaries
Clark - 1.5 million for 2010 - 2011 Free Agent
Olsen - 690,000 for 2010 - 726,000 2011 - 2012 Free Agent

You've heard 2nd round? Who's your source? Is Huggy Bear whispering in your ear, Charlie Weiss, Jr. ?

Did Dan Snyder buy the Bears too?

To quote Tom Jackson (i can't believe i just typed that): "its like fixing your basement when you have a leaky roof"

There better be some big moves for the line coming up.
