Chick Lang Sr. dies at 83
Charles J. "Chick" Lang Sr., an iconic and charismatic figure in Maryland racing for decades, died Thursday morning following a lengthy illness, according to his daughter, Debbie Tessier. He was 83.

Such a great man. The strength of Maryland racing for decades. Also won five Derbys as an agent for Bill Hartack.
Once called Bob Brennan of Garden State Park a " snake oil salesman" when Spend a Buck skipped the Preakness to run in the Jersey Derby. The Triple Crown bonus started the very next year. Racing lost a great friend. RIP |
