It was mainly Cornelio that left me scratching my head in that race.

Prado started losing it about two years ago. Amazingly, he seems to be on an upswing when it really counts.

The term, in your case, would be jackass.

Before Mike Smith went west back out west this last time, I was convinced he was done. Think about every rider that was written off that came back.

Prado is a classy gentleman and is a fine rider. The criticism is warranted but I bet he has a bang up summer.

Prado rides well when it counts. When he loses on a 3-5 shot in a 20k claimer and all of a sudden he sucks. What he has accomplished in his career no one can take away. Obviously this post was generated by a disgruntled bettor (what else is new). He is riding very well at Aqueduct right now ( 16 wins in 57 starts).

When it counts should be every race that people bet money on. He's not doing his ****ing job if he only cares about half the races.

But he surely didn't lose aboard Sounds Familiar from not caring. I can understand your frustration if you needed the horse but I thought the outcome had more to do with a bit of bad luck in mid-stretch not being able to get through than Prado really doing anything wrong.

If he is not doing his job how do you explain him riding at a near 30 percent clip at AQU right now??? There is a bunch more jocks that deserve the same comments you guys throw.

He made a typical overconfident jockey mistake, insisting that a hole was going to open up instead of swallowing his pride and switching to the outside with clearly the best horse. I find that in turf races, the jockey who admits defeat on an inside course earliest is the jockey who usually wins. You can't switch out with a sixteenth left and expect to win.

Look. It's not about whether Prado did something wrong in this race or whether he's on a brief hot streak. What it's about is that Prado is NOT riding the way he once did. And he hasn't ridden well for a while now. He's lost his nerve and his handle. Clearly, you have the race watching skills to be able to see this. I don't trust him on a horse, and this is saying a lot, as I bet pretty much anybody.

He was once a (relatively) premier jock. Anyone who thinks he's the same jock presently is welcome to contribute even more to the pools.

This is elementary ****. There are people here that really want to debate this issue or that think that Ramon is overrated. How the **** are these people betting? Are they medicated? This is childlike in terms of seeing/understanding. It's a ****in' comedy here with these opinions.

Oh I couldn't agree more, I certainly watch more than enough NY races to know that whomever speaks negatively about Ramon Dominguez pays little attention to what he does day in and day out.

Prado has been deteriorating for years, I'm acutely aware of that. Old Edgar would have had the instincts to get the horse that lost the 6th by a lip into the hole that looked like it was there faster. I mostly brought up the thread where he was asked to retire mostly to prod the thread starter.

I'm 'trying' to play 7 tracks concurrently; with no advance preparation. You don't need to prod me, my head is already spinning. I'm done.

Ramon being overated can be argued. IMO he is the russel baze of the east. Your opinion will suggest otherwise. He is a great jockey but I dont like betting horses that drop in odds just because he is on it. You want to bet 2-5shots with Ramon Dominguez on it then go right ahead. He is raking up the wins in NYRA, yes, but remember he won 1 race from 25 mounts at GP this year.

No, no, I meant the other Prado thread started by the one and only RHT1985. I posted in here only in reply to Ateam's thoughts on his ride in the 6th.
