Default 5/19: Belmont Park (6th-9th)

Despite P4/P6 misses, enjoyed a fun and solid afternoon Sunday at Belmont catching some nice exotics. Hope you did well. Race week starts with modest sequence at Belmont with muddy main and yielding turf part of the equation (2nd & 4th are OFF the turf). Though the races seem straightforward in the late P4, the sequence is a bit tricky with three Maiden Claiming events and a very good Starter Allowance as the feature.

I can simply not get a ticket constructed... That winner in the 6th was OK to consider for inclusion in exotics as I did, but I thought he'd be hard-pressed to actually win. Had the advantage of not being proven as a hopeless case though, and then fold in the plus jock move and you have a $22 winner.. Uggh.

Believe the 2 - Eager Leader was a late scratch in the 9th so you got stuck with $2 worth of the 11 on your $72 play. Better check your account as your probably $18 light.

Yup.. Wondered what happened with the #2. I only saw the finish of the 9th and was surprised Leader was nowhere in the picture. Then saw she had come out.
