DO you people think that he will stand for more than $25k next year? I mean he is the leading freshman sire and 40 of his 129 horses has made the track. I could see Ashford increasing the rate to $35k for 2007. I think that is well worth the fee.

It's really neat seeing him and Officer slugging it out in the shed, being as they were the most exciting juveniles as well. I think Officer may actually be the better sire as everyone knows Coolmore floods the market with a stallions progeny, Officer has far fewer runners and is right there with him.

Im no expert on confirmation but he was the most physicaly imposing horse I have ever seen. It appears that he is getting runners to the track, but an increase in fee should hinge on the quality of wins by his runners. The more they stretch-out the better they should do.

I forgot about Officer. I have no clue how I could do that. But I know that Officer has a higher percentage of money earned per starter than Johannesburg. It will be great to see these two square off year over year.

I keep saying this, but again, Gibson County is THE steal on the market right now at $2,500 stands and nurses. That being said, Johannesberg and Officer are 1-2 among first crop sires right now.
