![]() Interesting day at Belmont Wednesday with the first half of the card proving inscrutible and the second half an utter chalkfest. By all rights there should be a carryover into the Thursday slate after Sciacca struck in the 5th with 33-1 Kittylicious, who had been the victim of trip circumstances in her previous start. With a carryover looming on all horses but Scorper and Peyton's Heart and a quality $220 P4 within reach, Antonio Lopez managed to find a way to lose the nightcap on Pegasus Ena at 15-1 when he had appeared home free. The P4 paid a measly $35 as a joyless end to the quirky afternoon. Hope you did OK...
More Belmont Thursday with a number of worthwhile races including the well-matched quintet of turf stakes gals in the 3rd, a 2yo group in the 4th that features some potentially notable babies, and the 9f-T MSW 6th that includes sibling sisters of Film Maker, Rutherienne, Samhoon and Quiet Harbor. Friday looms intriguing with a good looking Monmouth P6 and $63k P6 carryover for the HollyPark late night action. Terrific action on the horizen Saturday too...
