Default Works this morning/ War Front WOW!!!!

So my main man Leon Blu goes back to Maryland and that leaves me and "the professor" Basil while the head clocker in charge is up in the press box.
Basil tells me to get busy with the watch after the renovation break. Track has been depper and cuppier this morning than any the whole meet. Horses are coming home so slow that we say screw it on half of them as they hit the 1/8th pole and see the split is just soooo slow.
Then I see a horse about to go a 1/2 mile and say Basil lets get that one. The horse breaks off and I hit the first 1/8th split and say " no way, I must have missed him", then he hits the 1/4 and I say Holy **** I must have missed him, he hits the 3 /8ths and I realize from the continuation of wicked splits that I didn't miss him, I got him just fine and he is FLYING. He hits the wire and I yell out "holy ****, who the HELL was that?!!!!" Horse went a 1/2 in 46:1, got the last 1/8th in 11:3, BREEZING!!! Now this track this morning was as slow as slow gets, doesnt get any slower. It was War Front. Apparently War Front likes our little town up here!! This workout was just insane, the kind that drops your jaw. I can assure you that War Front is sitting on ready for the Forego, he is in incredible condition.
P.S Gander, get on the phone and find out who Jimmy Jerkens dark bay was who worked a half mile right after the renovation break. After you find out, go get a home equity loan and wait til its entered. Find out Tim, that one was REAL good as well but we don't know who it was.

Information like this makes my mouth water. Oracle, thanks for the report on War Front. Now only if we can find out the name of the Jerkens horse.

I will try and find out Mike. Thanks for the info.

Kev, that'd be me. War Front is the goods.

But I have to tell you, after watching Siren Lure close at Delmar on Sunday, the Sprint division looks very top heavy with him and War Front as 1-2.

We'll see how Henny Hughes stacks up tomorrow.

Tim,
Please do more than try, find out. Dark Bay or Bay, no markings, right after the break, Jimmy Jerkens. Jimmy was on the pony watching. If its a maiden, prepare to unload heavily.

I've got a call in Mike (should hear back when hes done his morning work). My guess is its a maiden given the way his seasoned horses have been running up here. In a word- lousy. Will keep you posted.

Tim I just checked the posted workouts from today on equibase(they have War Front going 5f in 59 flat, no way my man, unless the guy took the work from the 5f pole he was not working then, he was running up to the 4f pole to breeze) and recognized nothing on the worktab from Jimmy J. Which means it was either a) they "accidentally" forgot to put it down, or b) its on there but its unraced maiden. I'm strongly hoping for b. Please be a pain in the ass with whatever friend you have over there and find out. H must know who breezed today and he must know who they sent over after the break. I can tell you this, if the work is on the tab, its not reported with the time we got, to say the least!!!

I've called 2 guys, one with Jimmy and one who happens to be the son of Allen Jerken's wife (previous marriage). Should know this afternoon, unless they are being real pains in the asses and want to keep this a secret.

War Front has had a case of seconditis ...

... and horses like that are always suspect.

It's the will ... not the talent ... which may be lacking.

Hence the use of "has had" ...

... maybe he still does ... and maybe he doesn't ... we shall see.

You are obviously looking for the late pick 3. The first two legs are pretty obvious. Barclay has a son of Yankee Victor in there. The late 2-5-7 pick 3 looks pretty easy and it should pay around $20.

I was only kidding Tim. Don't post it on here, we got who it was supposedly. Message me privately to confirm. We can make a score on this one.

By the way Tim we got war Front right and the DRF clocker was wrong. Horse went 4f with a gallop out afterwards, not five. Racing manager for the owner confirmed this yesterday afternoon at the track. We caught him right.
