By the way ZIG,I agree with you about the prayers etc. at your kid's school. Can't believe that it didn't bother many other people, but it's a very Conservative board. They act like we have a National Religion. We don't.That's what separates us from the people that run planes into buildings.

my daughter and i talked more yesterday about it...she said there are others that are unhappy about it. but i don't think anyone will speak up because they don't want the grief. i don't either, but i'm going to try to do something. it really ticks me off that this guy comes in here and thinks he can have his own agenda and force it down everyone's throats because of the type of community it is. he needs to open a private school and he and like-minded people can do as they wish!

Yeah,I actually can't believe Ritchie said that you would be causing trouble by speaking up against just one religion being encourged at what is suppose to be a public school.I didn't write it over there, because it gets real tiring to go back n' forth for hours with Mr. Brooklyn Right.I think the best avenue for you is to start with somebody at the State level 1st.

i'll figure something out. damn shame you have to be afraid to speak out--this IS the u.s. but i just don't want my kids having to deal with a bunch of crap.

where i grew up, in maryland, none of this ever happened...but no one up there really poked their nose into anyone else's business, and certainly didn't worry about where anyone else went to church and the like. i had an employee try to start preaching to me one time, i told her i wouldn't try to pawn my beliefs (or lack of) onto her, and i expected the same in return. that took care of that. lol she was probably horrified.

That's a great anecdote, Danzig. Good for you.
