Default Racism At the Races

You guys won't believe this story. You will need to scroll down to the bottom of the page and read the section titled "Racism At the Races".

This guy named his horse "Mute Rudolph" after Ken Rudolph and then instructed the silks guy to use colors that included the Confederate flag.

As much as I think K.R. got his job because he was a local news reporter and got hooked up with a racing analyst job with TVG due to affirmative action because he has no talent when it comes to horseracing. (I am a black man and can say this with a straight face). Yes he talks too much, no this guy is not funny, yes he piss me off with his minstrel show antics. But nobody deserves to be ridiculed by a racist and their sick sense of humor.

I was the hotwalker for a horse at Churchill Downs named Traci Girl who raced in Confederate Flag silks. I couldn't believe it when I saw the jockey walking to the paddock in them.

The horse was eventually claimed for 40K - and with a more competent hotwalker - would later run 2nd to Pleasant Home in a Graded Stakes race for Bruce Levine and Roddy Valente
