What a bunch of assholes.

Plural, meaning Frank for throwing a fit over a dollar, and AeWingnut, once again displaying that rock-solid conservative class that we've all come to know and love by calling it a "fairy fair."

Well played -- didn't think that anyone posting this could give Frank a run for his money, but you managed to!

Why yes, I can see it now, if we were talking about a cheap African-American and used the phrase "niggardly ______," and people complained, I'm sure that all of DT would be coming to my defense for creating a fun little play on words and accusing those who thought it was tasteless and offensive of being "fun sponges."

I just think you're blowing a joke out of proportion and you're desperate to be part of an oppressed group.

And really it's hilarious how you're comparing your plight to African-Americans.

Give me a f.ucking break.

I'm not desperate to be a part of anything except maybe a group that doesn't get called names as a punch line. Hopefully someday, asking for that basic minimum decency won't be seen as being hysterical and blowing things out of proportion.

And I said nothing at all about plight -- you're reading into that to try to make it sound like I'm being hysterical. John's an a$shole for posting what he posted, but I hardly compared my "plight" to African-Americans, I pointed out that a cute play on words doesn't absolve you of being an a$shole for making fun of a marginalized group.

Nobody said anything about "plight," until you tried to make it sound like I was overreacting, but then again, I'm a hysterical, humorless, victim for hoping that other people can have a modicum of decency, so I guess you're right.

Doesn't the link do that justice? Doesn't the fact that he flipped out over a dollar like an idiot prove the point all and well enough on its own?

Yes or no?

It surely does -- so there's no reason at ALL to include "fairy fair" except to laugh at him and take a swipe at him for being gay.

He's an a$shole because he acted like an a$shole, not because he did it while being a "fairy."

I agree completely but Wingnut was clearly joking and meant no ill will towards you or gays in general.

And really have you read some of his previous posts? He's trolling.

I don't disagree -- I've met him, and we get along just fine, so it wasn't a matter of inferring ill will.

And while the post certainly was obviously not going all jw"slaughter the gays"kniska on the DT community, it's just f*cking unnecessary, and it's not about having a sense of humor or playing a victim.

Just like people who want to rip Obama to shreds should do so because of what he does without adding a "joke" about him being Black, this article would've gotten a perfectly solid response all by itself, because Frank is insufferable on the merits of the insufferable way he always acts and nothing more. Perhaps that's unconventional and I shouldn't take it seriously in a freaking internet message board, but attack what people think and what they do, not who they are.

Ever since gays came dressed up as priests, nuns and alter boys at pride parades fairy-fare jokes are fair. IMO
Of course I'm Catholic and a victim of the 'victims'

and remember this joker's room-mate ran a gay brothel out of the 'back-door' of Frank's townhome w/o him knowing it?

BTW I do think Frank should be able to marry his 'madam' and be able to adopt children and decide when the plug is pulled etc etc.

I can't disagree entirely with what you're saying but when you're dealing with the internet this place is like a Disney movie compared to most forums.

Maybe I'm too desensitized but it really didn't seem like a big deal...just someone being a jackass. What else is new?

AeWingnut is a known homophobe. He always has a homophobic comment to make. Most conservatives arent like him (though a lot of the elected ones seem to be)

Wingnut always has something to say about gays. He is a troll. I give him credit for the clever terminology, but his actual feelings are well known.
