Funny thing is I tried to bail Gander out with that horse before the Baruch was even off. He asked me who I liked and I told him to forget betting the three stakes that were upcoming and pointed to Tough And Easy on the DRf and explained that his dead rail trip last time out was a much better effort that it appeared on paper(unlike 99% here, I actually WATCH races and file observations away) and that I thought the exacta would be cold with the Dutrow underneath. I hope Gander got out.
I haven't been giving out many plays here anymore, fact is that there are soooo many "geniuses" here who know it all(despite this, they rarely if ever pick or show us a winner, but hey they know it all!!!) that I figure I am just wasting my time.

I like to cap my own plays, The thing about ypur picks Ora is I use the somewhat like sonme use the "sheets" and the speed numbers. As far as Im concerned yout picks carry a lot of weight and you will never catch me downgrading yor picks because from my observation you make the call, not because of the odds or anything else but because you think they are the best horse with the best chance of winning. Sometimes I like to question you to find out your reasoning. If the forum had the software to evaluate the picks produced here I thinkyour picks would have a nice roi.

Thanks Mike but I didnt have any play left in me at that point in the day. Wasnt my worst day up there but frustrating to say the least. Really needed My Typhoon to lose and she hung on. You were dead on with your analysis of that race, I only wish I could have taken advantage of it.

Sorry Tim, I really am. everyone who called me yesterday was looking for plays in the big races and it just looked so likely to me that it would be a chalkfest with little to no value. I had been waiting for Tough and easy to run back since his last race(assuming it was an appropiate spot) and told everyone to pound him.
The first three weeks of the meet contained a number of dead rail days where horses who raced there were compromised by racing there. I suspect a few more will follow suit this last week up here. YOu see, while others are writing essays on who they think will win a race in two months, or composing love letters to certain connections, a few of us here(Blackthroat watches races intently as well) are actully watching races and establishing trip and bias notes and in my case looking for horses to buy. Also clocking in the morning as well.
We could use a few more folks like this here very badly. But most are far more interested in writing love sonnets or speculating who will win a race that doesnt run for two months.

Geez Tim, I don't know. I guess I completely understand falling in love with a horse, I mean, who amongst us didn't grow to love the game because of that love of a certain horse?
I also understand fervent passion and rooting for friends in the game. Anyone who has a friend involved in the game at any level, be it owning or training or riding is always going to root for that person to accomplish things and win.
But I really don't understand an obsession with a group of horses who someone has no connection with(unless they are trying to establish a connection) to the point of obsession. Its as bad as Bold Ruler was the Jackson horses.
