Hopeful probables
By NYRA PRESS OFFICE | Aug 27, 2006
per NYRA.com On closing day the Grade 1, $250,000 Hopeful will be run for the 102nd time. A select field of two-year olds looks to go to post in the seven-furlong race, led by the Todd Pletcher-trained, and undefeated Scat Daddy. Winner of the Grade 2 Sanford on July 27th, he will go to post a worthy favorite against Circular Quay, also trained by Pletcher, Irish Ace, Pegasus Wind, Rajjaas, and Unbridled Express. Buffalo Man is possible. http://www.nyra.com/saratoga/news.asp?track=S&id=2123

Wow...I like this lineup.
I missed Scat Daddy's maiden win, but saw both Circular Quay's races. Unbridled Express crushed a decent maiden field at Churchill in July. I'm sure we'll see many of these from this field back in the BCJ in November. |
