Default Afleet Express injured, out for the year

Travers Stakes winner Afleet Express will be sidelined the remainder of the year after suffering a slight tear of the suspensory ligament in his left foreleg, trainer Jimmy Jerkens said Wednesday.

The injury is not career-threatening and Jerkens said Afleet Express would be pointed to a 4-year-old campaign in 2011.

Im pretty sure no one has ever ducked Rail Trip. They are sticking to the original plan. I respect and admire them for it. Even with all the pressure she is still undefeated and wins HOY if she wins the Classic.

Nope. Zenyatta ducked Rail Trip. The 'original plan' was to showcase her to the country and run her in some new races. You're just being an abrasive shill as always. You've said repeatedly that their campaign sucks. Now you respect and admire them for it. You have no integrity.

Just don't "Blame" Zenyatta if she does not win the Classic.

I think the easier the race is, the more likely they are to run in it.

Since hes one of maybe 2-3 3yos that might beat her, yes.

Leon "blue" was ready to take on Express again after losing by 32 lengths. "He guaranteed the victory"

This is a shame. Let's not pollute a thread about the would-be classic winner with more Zenyatta bullshit.

Dick Jerardi mentioned on Monday in his column on the Pa. Derby that Afleet Express probably had issues.

An Afleet Express/Blame/Zenyatta stretch drive would've been an awesome spectacle, that's for sure.

Blame looked SERIOUS last out. His drive for home, visually, was as powerful as I've seen recently. He hit the gear that QR failed to.

Cool Zenyatta duck anyone?

This is a joke, stupid instead of giving props for a horse that has won the classic and every race she has ran! You say she has ducked rail trip! Unbelievable what you gonna say when she wins the classic for a 2nd time. That horse is what is great about racing. She hasn't been used up like poor rachel, instead they have picked her spots perfect and if all is well will run in the classic! The owners have showed they care about the horse and have never rushed her into a race. So when zenyatta wins the classic I hope you can say she is one of the BEST ever!
