You are forgetting that he ran in the jim Dandy and suffered a minor injury and will be sidelined for a little while.
I think hes meant to be an older horse, and the rest will do him some good and give him time to mature and grow.

Wow, I totally missed him being in the Jim Dandy. Boy did we ever love him in the Peter Pan. I agree that he was meant to be an older horse. I expect some good things from him next year.
