Pulpit used to be quite a bit higher. I've never been a fan of his runners, but with the success of his sons at stud, I'd have thought Pulpit would be higher than 50k.

Blame is "the new hotness". Established but non-superstar sires never get more than new sires. The difference is that a Blame offspring could sell for anything. An Arch has a pretty predictable price.

Price seems right to me. He retires, not as a sensation but a question mark (in some eyes, not mine) and the market is dull right now. He carries good family, Arch is tail female to Courtly Dee and Liable to Rogh Shod, two of the greatest mares of the latter 20th century.
