Default Worst ride of the last week...

I've seen a few pretty bad ones ..... but I got to give it to whoever was riding Affirmed. He puts him under a constant left handed whip out of the gate - and has him 7 wide on both turns at Pimlico .. an impossible trip - especially considering the way the pace collapsed and Zenyatta and Citation sucked up past the entire field.

I can't wait to bet Affirmed next time he runs back.

That's pretty much the most random collection of horses ever. Citation, AFfirmed, Ruffian, sure, but Big Brown? Smarty Jones? Oh, and the result was borderline retarded.

Yeah - but Affirmed was seriously 10 lengths the best in that race.

That was actually RA's future 2nd foal - Curlin Alexander - running in her spot in that race.

What happened to Secretariat? Was there a Jeff Mullins sighting in his detention barn that forced him to scratch?
Funny, even in a simulation Prado seemed to find trouble with Barbaro..........

That looks like Cauthen, but it's a little fuzzy. No way he hangs that wide with this group.. Kid would have stalked 3rd.

I thought it was obvious they couldn't use Secretariat in the race and still have Zenyatta win. That would have been going too far, so they didn't enter him.

Or Spectacular Bid, Seattle Slew, Ghostzapper, etc., etc., etc. I still find it creative that they were able to get her by Citation in a blanket finish though.

They knew where to find her. They were ducking.

I guess I was a bit naive thinking that there wasn't maybe a hidden agenda involved in what was supposed to be a fantasy race. It's funny I just realized also that out of the 10 entered in the race, about seven of them liked to be on or near the lead.

Citation ran pretty well for a dead horse.

Based on the trip she got, I would have to say Rachel would have finished up much better than that. Looked an awful lot like her Preakness.
This is ridiculous and I am kind of ashamed of myself.

I've often gazed out from the grandstand at ol' Hilltop and marveled at how one can see the Appalachians from there.
