Gulfstream requests longer meet for 2011-2012

HALLANDALE BEACH, Fla. - Gulfstream Park on Friday filed an application with the state of Florida to present live racing in December for the first time in track history, beginning with its 2011-2012 meet.

It's a phenomenal idea but I'd bet the folks at Calder feel differently.

Good point. Maybe they can create some decent 2 yr old races for December and maybe a decent 3 yr old race that could act as a prep for The Donn. But if it's anything like post FL Derby GP, then yeah.....it will be a disaster.
