Default Bad idea, you heard it here first

http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2011-0...riticized.html

So instead of the FDA beefing up its staff to protect us they will hire 3rd party inspectors in foriegn countries. Call me Debbie Downer but I see this as ripe for corruption.

I thought foreign manufactured drugs were not safe. Wasn't that why seniors near the border take a chance and go to Mexico and Canada for their prescriptions at cheaper prices? They inspect American plants once every 30 months and foreign plants once every 9 years? Why even outsource? Once every nine years is useless? Privately owned American automobiles are inspected with more frequency. Why not outsource to an American contractor using American workers and inspect drugs once delivered? This hopefully isn't a by-product of Obamacare as foreign drugs can't all of a sudden be safe.

We won't have to worry about it, because the Tea Partiers in Congress are clamoring to cut the FDA budget to nothing.

No, they are not safe, and yes, seniors do take a huge chance, and many have suffered by buying out of country drugs, in person or over the internet.

Of course, the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act ("Obamacare" for the derisive) just gave those seniors a 50% discount on generic drugs, and helped close the donut hole on their prescriptions. So hopefully our seniors can now afford safer, FDA-tested, American-made drugs from now on. No more trips to Canada or Mexico for their heart and blood pressure meds.

Until Dell and his minions have the PPACA repealed, and seniors lose that benefit they just received last month.

The new Republican, conservative Governor of Florida, Rick Scott (yes, the guy who stole from seniors as a healthcare bigwig) is all about slashing spending in his state. So he wants to cut prescription drug abuse monitoring (oxycodon, that type of thing).

Kentucky is having a fit today, because that reopens up a huge pipeline of illegal drugs feeding right back up here to all the other states, after this state has spent millions of dollars, and multiple years, trying to get it under control.

Massive budget cuts - it's gonna be fun.

so now they are safe and Obama & Co. will outsource inspections? Why is this even a issue unless Obama & Co. are expecting foreign shipments and you said above they are not safe and 'many have suffered'. Stop this foreign drug madness now This is your party!

What in the world are you talking about? Yes, I do indeed cherish people not being drug addicts and I do cherish it when prescription medications are not illegally diverted and illegally sold. Don't you?
