Judging by the names on this list I think the owners mistook the nominations list for the Canterbury Claiming Series

Apparently 2010 wasn't terribly productive although Yuwanna Twist was 3rd in the Preakness: http://www.horse-races.net/library/tc10-latenoms.htm but 2009's noms list was more so (give or take a hoof problem): http://www.horse-races.net/library/tc09-latenoms.htm Summer Bird, Quality Road, and Musket Man were 3 of the horses on it. (Feisty Suances was one of the latecomers, too. Do we know how he's doing right now after being vanned off recently? If someone said, I apologize, I missed it.)

To see more, just adjust the year in the URL link. Eight Belles and Proud Spell were added late the year before. 2005 had General John B in there. Totally jinxed Jon Court. A lot of horses I don't remember show up the farther back I go. Some years it's like a "who's who? No seriously, who is that?" list. I assume some of them had aspirations for the Preakness or Belmont.
