Default 4/1: Gulfstream (9th); Oaklawn (P4) Santa Anita ($74k C/O)

GULFSTREAM

POST-SCRATCHES

9th: OC/N2X, 4+, 7.5f-T (DD, Super)

DRF Race of the Day, and a very good one at that. Well-priced players lurk outside in #9 Sunshine Rambler (10-1) and #10 Sayif (20-1), and it would be ideal to get them in the exotics. Morning line numbers rarely hold fast at GP, so it's hard to expect with confidence that the 8-1 on #2 Upgrade will hold, but he figures to get the ideal voyage..

Best Value: #2 Upgrade 8-1 2nd
Next Best: #6 Rogue Victory 4-1 6th
Exotics Use: #5 Army Scout 3-1 5th
Super Add: #9 Sunshine Rambler 10-1 3rd

OAKLAWN

POST-SCRATCHES

Excellent skein at Hot Springs with employable single, so why not a little Ozark Mountain daredeviling?

7th: OC/N2X, F&M-4+, 1m (P4)

Most Likely: #6 Sarah's Song 2-1 WON ($6.00)
Next Best: #1 Glowing Report 3-1 3rd
Best Value: #7 Roman Invader 15-1 5th
Exotics Use: #2 Maga's Daughter 7-2 6th

8th: MSW, F&M-3,4&5yo, 6f (P3)

Noteworthy in here is debut of Mac Robertson's chestnut Too Shy Shy, a Distorted Humor filly out of Donation, making her a half sister to the late Lawyer Ron. Not that it transfers necessarily, but that son of Langfuhr certainly did his best running over this particular strip..

Best Value: #1 Spring Storm 8-1 4th
Next Best: #3 Ha Ha Tonka 9-5 WON ($3.40)
Exotics Use: #12 Walker Bay 15-1 2nd
Exotics Use: #6 Too Shy Shy 5-1 5th

9th: OC/N2X, F&M-4+, 1m (DD)

Key to sequence is relying on She's All In here and finding a price or two elsewhere..

Most Likely: #7 She's All In 4-5 WON ($2.80)
Best Value: #4 America's Blossom 12-1 6th
Next Best: #1 Missippi Martini 4-1 2nd
Exotics Use: #5 Zarb's Ballerina 9-2 3rd

10th: Arky-MDN CLM, 3-5yo, 6f (Super)

Best Value: #5 Uptheriver 4-1 9th
Next Best: #2 Dorvan 7-2 4th
Exotics Use: #6 Star Searcher 3-1 6th
Super Add: #3 Royal Bidder 20-1 8th

<$50 P4 Play:

7: 1-6-7
8: 1-3-6-12
9: 7
10: 2-3-5-6

3x4x1x4 = $48

SANTA ANITA

POST-SCRATCHES

1st: MSW, 3yo-F, 1m-T (Place Pick All, P4, P3, DD, Super)

Most Likely: #1 Beautiful Sunday 2-1 WON ($4.20)
Best Value: #5 Brave Journey 8-1 3rd
Next Best: #3 So She Dances 5-2 4th

2nd: MSW, F&M-3+, 8.5f (P3, DD, Super)

Most Likely: #1 Heidi Maria 5-2 2nd
Next Best: #2 Working at Night 6-5 4th
Best Value: #6 SCR

3rd: CLM, 4yo, 6.5f-T (P6, P3, DD, Super)

$74k P6 C/O Starts Here..

Most Likely: #1 Fandino 7-2 WON ($9.00)
Next Best: #3 Le' Heat 5-1 2nd
Exotics Use: #5 Matamor 12-1 6th
Super Add: #8 King Ledley 9-2 3rd

4th: Cal-MDN CLM, 3yo-F, 6f (P3, DD, Super)

This is a very tricky event with droppers to respect and some good connect types..

Most Likely: #5 Tribal Mistress 2-1 7th
Best Value: #4 Warren's City Art 8-1 2nd
Next Best: #6 Go Sophia 4-1 6th
Super Add: #3 Judy's My Angel 7-2 5th

<$75 P4 Play:

1: 1-3-5
2: 1-2
3: 1-3-5-7-8
4: 3-4-5-6-7

3x2x5x5 = 150 x .50 = $75

5th: CLM, 4+, 9f-T (P4, P3, DD, Super)

Best Value: #2 Red Alert Day 7-2 WON ($5.00)
Next Best: #6 Hughesy 8-1 2nd
Exotics Use: #7 Control Seeker 4-1 7th
Super Add: #10 Sir Dave 12-1 3rd

6th: CLM, 4+, 1m (P3, DD, Super)

Most Likely: #8 Capt. Sparrow 3-1 4th
Next Best: #10 Equiparado 5-2 8th
Exotics Use: #2 Self Insured 7-2 5th
Super Add: #5 Concerto's Thunder 9-2 3rd

7th: ALW/N1X, F&M-4+, 1m-T (DD, Super)

Most Likely: #5 Dubawi Heights 2-1 WON ($3.80)
Next Best: #6 Warren's Got Game 5-2 2nd

8th: MDN CLM, 4+, 6.5f (Super, Super Hi-5)

Most Likely: #11 Lead Blocker 7-2 WON ($6.40)
Best Value: #2 Slews Dark Knight 8-1 6th
Next Best: #4 The Full Lavino 3-1 5th
Exotics Use: #8 Blind Magic 6-1 3rd
Hi-5 Play: #10 Clocker Moment 4-1 4th

<$100 P6 Play:

3: 1-3
4: 4-5
5: 2-6
6: 2-8-10
7: 5
8: 2-11

2x2x2x3x1x2 = 48 x $2 = $96

<$75 P4 Play:

5: 2-6-7-12
6: 2-8-10
7: 5-6
8: 2-4-5-8-10-11

4x3x2x6 = 144 x .50 = $72

Good luck!
Steve

Hot Springs is located in the Ouachita Mnts. Steve, not the Ozarks.

That may be, but it doesn't suit the clever musical wordplay reference..

Clement's horse broke the track record in the 9th @GP. France import was fav over the pond many times in big fields. CC has been batting like 50% with his first time imports, WOW!

Outstanding feature at Santa Anita. I'm going to use it as a discouragement to potential fans. No need to bring fans to the sport if the connections and tracks are just going to card paid workouts.

Matt/Root,

Great job at SA. I thought it was very quirky but you guys carved it up.

P6 paid a very generous $32k!

As it happens, the feature was a relief for P6 players if they chose to single in the spot. The sequence still brought back $32k. It wasn't written in stone that Dubawi Heights, off since November, was going to be that dominant on the comeback.
