This is The worst Saturday card ever at Keeneland.....
Save the Ashland...which is a fantastic group and interesting betting race.
It almost looks as bad as the Illinois Derby under card today.. It is a very bad sign for racing in the blue grass, when the opening Saturday card at Keeneland in the Spring is this bad. Btw, I thought yesterdays card was superior to this garbage. |

Aren't you being a little dramatic comparing it to the Hawthorne card that has 6 races for claimers worth 15k and less? Come on Jack, there are plenty of days to complain about bad races/cards and between the Keenland card today (which I thought wasn't bad) and the rest of the days big races, isn't this just unnecessary griping?

It's a backlash against polytrack. Trainers were trying to force dirt horses into lucrative spots for five years to get a purse, but they finally figured out that the two surfaces are so different that you can't count on running well on both. A well timed Gulfstream/Oaklawn/Fairgrounds to Churchill move could avoid the rubber track.

I with the majority here not a thing in the world wrong with this card and to compare it to the under card for the Illinois Derby is absolutely absurd...
