Default Auto Bail Out Success

Quote:
Taxpayers are expected to lose about $14 billion of the $80 billion spent under the Obama and George W. Bush administrations to bail out Chrysler, General Motors and their suppliers. But companies are adding jobs and gaining market share against international competitors.
So a negative 17.5% return is a success? Doing nothing beats that. Should have used the $80 billion to pay the debt. Stick with governing and stay out of the investment banking and healthcare biz that you suck at.

Any wonder why even a left leaning poll shows

Quote:

A CNN poll late last month showed that 58% of respondents disapproved of his handling of the economy, compared with 41% who approved.

Read us the overall rising approval numbers from the latest CNN poll, Dell.

BTW, where is your rightous indignation towards the people we elected to help fix this, Congress? Over 40 abortion rights restriction bills introduced since January, and how many jobs bills? How many economic stimulus proposals? You've got no complaint with those bozos?

Absolutely.....if we can just deny women abortions everything will be ok and all our economic woes will pass...cause we'll have god on our side again (well, maybe...still have to put those gays in their place)

Abortions still legal and always will be. The restrictions have to do with cost cutting. Abortion clinics and supporters should privately fund women in need thru fundraisers. You know run/walk for abortion. Sell black ribbons. Bake sales etc. People need to become more personally responsible and what better place to start than abortion?

As far as jobs the repubs proposed a realistic budget with trillions in cuts. Again no mention of making abortions illegal. See republicans see the big picture. They know that economy needs to improve to create jobs. Private jobs are twice as valuable as gov jobs as they are independantly paid for. Gov jobs are the equivlent of a family trying to increase their household income by paying their children inflated salaries for menial chores. Doesn't work.

Not if the Republican Party gets their way. And I don't recall abortion rights - and over 40 bills addressing such - being the major issue in the last campaign, nor the reason the recent class of Congressmen were elected?

LOL! Hell, no! How can you even say that with a straight face? The restrictions have to do with the evangelical social dictators trying to tell other free American citizens how to live their lives. That's the very definition of "big government takeover".

And with our country in such trouble, why has Boehner increased the Congressional time off, decrease the time they are in session and have to work? Now they only work 4 days a week, for a couple weeks at a time. What a waste, for those salaries we pay them to address our countries problems. Since January, they are rarely there.

Actually, no. The Congressional Budget Office has scored the Ryan Budget as increasing our debt.

And the only "jobs" proposal the GOP has was to renew the huge subsidies - billions - to the big oil companies (why are you not screaming against that huge budget cost?), and propose to cut the corporate tax rate to 25%. You know, on those giant corporations that already pay zero tax to us. While we are deeply in debt and need the revenue.

Blinkers off.

The Republican party, over the last 60 years, has always cost us money and increased our debt. Period. As the party has changed to lose all of the social mores and care about American citizens they used to possess, they are now the party that protects corporate America, period.

Good luck with your team! After a few decades of experience with them, I'm done with those losers. You can have them. Warmongers. Financial irresponsibility to the hilt. Driving this country into the brink of collapse in only 10 years. And now complete abdication of any societal responsibility whatsoever.
