Default Are people basically bad?

I'm not kidding. Be honest and answer.

I try to find the good in people... try to be the glass is half full type (right, Sightseek?).

Sometimes I think people get the wrong idea about me... sometimes I think people think I'm a how do I say this... a better person than I am maybe?

Anyway I keep thinking about the whole Johnny V thing.

I'm a huge fan of The Mig. I've said that repeatedly. He's a class individual... the face of the game as far as I'm concerned and no I won't bore you with the whole did I mention I had Desert Code in the BC (hahahaha well I did... yea! ).

So here's my new issue:

I want to believe that Rajiv wouldn't do it intentionally.

I want to believe that people are basically good.

It's not that he's one of the tortured, druggie jockeys that I always defend ... I don't feel anything either way.

What I want is to believe that no sane person with a brain would put anyone in that position.

Steve posted about The Mig on that thread and basically well you all know... that he can see it. That Johnny is telling the truth.

I have nothing to say on that thread because it doesn't matter if its The Mig saying it or Jesus Christ or David ****ing Gilmour or Pit Bull.

No one knows but Rajiv. Period.

Just because a jockey who I really adore thinks it's so doesn't make it so. It's his truth and that's great but it's not mine and besides what kind of idiot would I be to blindly think something because some jockey or anyone else says it's so?

So now, even though I have a life and everything... now I'm starting to wonder if I'm just wrong about everything.

All of it.

People are basically well not evil but do bad things.

People are not born good. (That sounds illiterate).

What do you all believe?

I don't mean so much that thread and Johnny and the instance itself... I mean in general.

Is it an immature belief?

Is there too much proof in this world for the idea of people basically being good... for that to go out the window?

What do you think? What do you really think?

Not about me or my battle in my head... what do YOU feel?

Have you changed the way you think about this?

Did you used to be one way and now you're another?

It bothers me to no end when people are accused of things that they might not have done.

It seems like society usually makes the assumption that if you're accused of x,y and z chances are you did it.

I hate that!

How about you?

Most people will throw you under a bus to get ahead. Or, under a horse. Most people are out for themselves. I've seen it over and over and over again. This does not mean they are bad humans, just out for number one. If you get in the way of them, there you go. Under a bus. I chalk this up to 95% of the population.

I believe in a higher power which is the definition of good, I believe we all have souls which come from that supreme being (are actually pieces of that being), therefore I believe our souls are good....as human beings we are all subject to good and bad behavior, some of us walk the path of evil during our lives but our souls are clean. The world is a place where the battle between good and evil is fought...in the past, the present and the future. So...it is not our essence that is good or evil but our behavior.

I believe what track rat said.

I also believe that jockey's don't always look out for each others well being during races, but a lot of times they do.

80% to 90% are awful. Which means 10 to 20 are good. I'd say that's a good ballpark.

I say the difference is what you see verses what you actually experience.

I would say that through personal experience people are generally OK maybe 75/25 good to bad. But if you base it on what you hear or see via media it's probably the reverse 25/75.

But I do believe OJ was guilty.

people can be pretty tough but when prepared properly they're not terrible as a main course.

it's the fava beans that are bad.
