All it's going to do is compound the problem and make things much worse, much faster, and much harder to recover from. The correct thing to do would have been to steal from the Tampa Bay Downs playbook and cut takeout mildly each year - for every year to come. Sure - it would take about 60 years for everything to start smelling like complete roses at the TBD rate - but you'd be making progress all the time. |
