Roddick-Gander
If ever Roddick was to have a shot at beating Federer it will be now. Home court advantage, serving well, playing very smart, not getting upset. Connors has clearly helped him. Now we will really see how good Federer is. I say Roger crushes him anyway. But Roddick is finally showing he can face some tough spots and come thru. Roddick's serve is so tough when he takes his time and tries to hit spots rather than wailing away at every first serve. The velocity on his serve is more than enough, he just needs to spot them instead of trying to hit 150 mph. 110-120 will work fine in the right place. And he can hit that speed without even trying.

Well, for whatever reason, this major only gives the guys 1 day from the semis to the finals. That was huge when Sampras got beat by Hewitt here.I think Federer is favored by this over Roddick(who I believe is the less conditioned athlete.)Those 3 match points that Youzny saved? That should be the way the whole match goes tomorrow.Roddick is just a bit too slow to keep up with Federer. The only way Federer gets beat is if Roddick has a huge day serving.I mean huge(like day of his life serving.)

I'd love to see Roddick win, but the reality is that Federer will squash him like a grape.
I've never seen a machine like him before in my life. |
