![]() Dewey Bozella, a boxer who was wrongly convicted of murdering a 92 year old woman and served 26 years before evidence uncovered by Innocence Project set him free will fight his first pro fight in 26 years in California. Key evidence presented to the court included the fingerprint of another man found at the scene who was later convicted of a striking similar murder. Mr. Bozella, believed to be the oldest fighter ever sanctioned in California, will fight once and then retire to open a gym for disadvantaged youth. Another compelling reason to ban the death penalty as well as take a closer look at many convictions across the nation.
