![]() Steve mentioned the Dal Rae on today's show and plans on having a get-together there for next year's BC at Santa Anita...This would be great for us west coasters - the cadillac margerita (rocks) is well worth the trip, as are the dinner selections...Growing up in Downey I was a stones throw from this hidden gem of elegance and class and often took dates there after a day at the great race place - if I was up... Fairly pricey but totally worth it - anyone else in the greater LA area who thinks this might be an idea for a gathering of ATR fans?

Glad the Dal Rae reference hit home and got you to post! Tina and I had about as good a meal there after the '09 Cup as we've had anywhere. With Monty's in Pasadena gone, it is a place with that special and unique 'old LA' dining atmosphere. Excellent idea for a get-together, and will make arrangements for an ATR/DT dinner at the Dal next fall.

![]() I haven't been there for over 15 years. Do they still have all of that Harness Memorabilia from their Harness horses from the 70's? My dad used to take me to Hollywood Park to see their big horse Mr Dal Rae or Sir Dal Rae.

![]() Those harness replays on channel 56 are some great memories - owners of dal rae had a few racing interests, but i was a pre-teen in the 70's and Seattle Slew on wide world of sports got me interested...thanks, Jim McKay (and Chet Forte)... Some racing regalia still to be seen in the bar and dining room...
