This is not funny. Giant Suprise is standing for like 5k somewhere. Hes not coming back. I think Behemoth is starlight and I think he is hurt, but I might be wrong about both of those things. Creative Cause is OK and is as good as any right now. Battle Force proved to be a POS last time when there was an insane pace and he had no real run at all. Night Site BLAH. I dont really know about any of the other's.
For real though, who do you like? I can do a Derby top 10 if you want, if that will help you make a decision.

Yes, I would find your top 10 worthwhile.

Please do that.

Only Nevada racebooks can legally offer fixed Derby futures since those are not pari-mutuel. GoHorseBetting.com has a huge list if you want to go fishing offshore for prices.

That's pretty cool, thanks, but man, some of their prices are absurdly low.

Maidens at 50/1??????

What is it with you and saying you are going to do something and then reneging?

Why is it not a good idea?

I'm sure their odds reflect their exposure. If folks are betting those maidens, they have little choice but to knock down prices to protect themselves. Wynn has some very low odds, too. You just have to shop around to find what is acceptable to you.

When I was out in Vegas I wanted to buy a small future book bet for my wife, who loves hockey and baseball. The local hockey team was 35-1 to win the Cup, so she said no (they do lead their division right now, however), so I got her 75-1 on the Marlins. Now they are spending like no tomorrow, and I can't imagine what the price will be if they keep this up.
