He may have been beaten anyway, the horse was dead, but looking back three times certainly didn't help.

That was a tough way to get the P4 crunched... But its been a worse day for Chatterpaul than those of us that tore up tickets. He lost Speight of Hand who broke down after the 3rd and was destroyed.

Perhaps worse for Jason Servis who put in a claim for Speight of Hand.

I tend to agree. This was a bad downward spiral.

This really is the crappy side of racing. Here is an honest trying horse with six wins coming into the day and nearly 200k in earnings. The horse wins an off the turfer for 35k, admittedly an inflated tag for that restricted race, but does so in fast time and gets a 91 Beyer. Off this effort, Gary Gullo clearly knows something is wrong with the horse. He enters him for 14k where he is claimed. I'm sure Gullo breathed a sigh of relief squeezing a few last bucks out of the horse rather than taking his time with and giving him a break.

Now what this guy Chatterpaul was thinking I have no idea. Did he think he hit the lottery that day, getting a bargain, thinking he knew more than Gullo? Or did he think he could squeeze a few bucks out of the horse? I guess that is it since that is exactly what he did. Jason Servis then steps up as the next guy to be fleeced, and probably gets what he deserves too. We hear so much about how bitter and jaded bettors are and that we don't care about horses, but what were these "horsemen" thinking? At no point do I see any of them giving a sh!t about the horse.

My complaint is not with you commenting on the lame horse, I also hate that part of the game. I agree with everything you wrote above. I also enjoy your sarcasm and contributions to this site. My comment was at your shot at the
" angels thread". It's not my favorite thread of the year either but your repeated mentioning of it is petty.

Wow I was horrified when I read this.

Just to be clear I do look at the selections threads. I don't play every day but I think a few of us play more than some of you guys would think.

I read these after I've made my plays. Sometimes I feel kinda good when a handicapper I respect has made the same choices... sometimes I feel like a complete failure.

It's like why I start some of the congrats you train threads... I have and continue to learn a lot from all of you.

So I get home and want to see what's going on, what I missed and I see this.

I backed off and gave up on the Final Farewell thread. Why on earth are you still going after me when I won't fight back?

Thank you for these posts. I appreciate the first and agree with the 2nd.

This is really well said. I know you don't care about my opinion but really... good post.

The line about hearing about how bitter and jaded bettors are though... do you mean here or in general?

In general yeah I think there is that false perception.

Here though? No. I have said and others have said that this is not the case. Maybe we need to say it more.

I can back it up but will look like I'm patting myself on the back if I post a link or two, so forget it.

Okay well that's all. It's sad being associated with the most depressing threads.

If anyone ever wants to kinda of take over please do it but if not I can't stop.

I am just trying to be respectful. No matter what any of you think that's all it is.

Say whatever you want, Freddy. Nothing can possibly stun me more than your most recent posts.

I find them really really sad. They make me feel horrible. I guess that's what you were going for so congratulations on your success.

Sorry gentlemen... don't mean to post this crap in this forum but where else can I say it?

It wasn't my idea to be mentioned here.

I could understand your tone with me if I had barged into this conversation.

I wouldn't have said a thing had I not been mentioned.

I'm not the ****ing sandbox police. I thought comments here were in bad taste but that's not my job, being a mom on here.

You or anyone wants to make crude comments after some horse breaks down? I won't stop you.

If I'm mentioned though and made fun of I am allowed to respond. That's all I was doing and you know this.

Fighting and explaining why I posted something are differnt things. I'm just doing the latter.
