IT was a very sad ending to his life. As with most human beings a lot of good and a lot of bad involved in his life. He made some mistakes and had too much power toward the end of his career, in the end he should probably be defined as a superb college football coach. The saddest part for me was despite all his rhetoric about much more about life than football, it overwhelmingly consumed him and he had zero life without it it seemed to me and it got much worse as he got older.

my condolences to his family, especially his wife. i can't imagine the pain of losing the person who means most to you in the world after so many years together.
it's too bad that it all ended the way it did with his career. it's a damn shame that the focus became centered on others rather than the actual criminal in that case. i get why joe had to leave, but his last months were filled with bitterness, shame, and loss.
