Kill Bill
Well, I watched the first movie last night on TNT...this is much better than I expected, you get by all the violence (some undoubtedly cut for TV) and you have an interesting movie! Uma is, as always, downright desirable! The second one is on tonight then they show both Sunday night back-to-back!
I thought her taking on and defeating about a hundred guys at once was a bit too much but the surreal nature of it, the great filming of the scene, made it very watchable...you can watch a movie like this for the obvious or jump inside for a deeper look...good stuff!

John.
Should had rented the videos. Its definitely a worth see. I like both of them. I like Tarentino, but right now I probably wouldn't own them. Pulp Fiction and Jackie Brown are only worthy for my video cabinet right now.

I watched the second one tonight and felt that the story line flowed seamlessly from the first...two problems I had with the plot line, (1) if you rip out a woman's eye, don't you think you might be a bit cautious around her, and especially during meals? (2) If you bury someone alive, why the hell give them a flashlight? I thought the eye explanation was particularly weak! The burried-alive scene was well done except for the flashlight...should have taken a cue from Buffy's clawing her way out of her coffin and through the dirt...sometimes artistic license is better than lame attempts to explain a light source! Uma was wonderful in both...although she sure as hell heals fast especially that recovery from two boobs full of rock salt!

Jackie Brown rules and is his best movie in my opinion. That guy that falls for Jackie Brown is one strange dude. I like him though. Great movie.
I like the part when Bridget Fonda goes to Robert Deniro..."Ya wanna f-uck"? And he has that puzzled look on his face and says...."Okay". The funniest part of the movie was towards the end just before Deniro shoots Fonda in the mall parking lot. The way FOnda ridicules Deniro prior to the shooting has me laughing hysterically! |

What do you mean...I just think two boobs full of rock salt would be (a) painful to the max, and (2) long time healing!

I guess I just dont get it.
I hate these movies and I really did give them a try. on the topic of films, did anyone see Shamaylan's Lady in the Water? he is my favorite director and I intended to see it when it was in theatres. problem is, it was gone before I had a got around to go see it. Ive hated the last few films I have seen at theatres. Miami Vice sucked, and I cant say that about many Michael Mann films. World Trade Center sucked, and unfortunately I can say that about many Oliver Stone films. he has become completely horrible at his job. films I have seen recently on DVD that I did like- Match Point-wow, Johannsen is smoking Havoc-those white guys are funny Derailed-good film Syriana-another Gaghan(sp) film I found interesting(he also wrote Havoc) Primal Fear-watched it again after like not seeing it in 7 years. Norton is far and away the best actor on the planet. Repent |
