Watch the video above. The guy in the white shirt is Republican Rep. Joel Kleefisch, aka Mr. Rebecca Kleefisch (he's the husband of the Republican Lt. Governor). Watch as Rep. Kleefisch votes on a matter. Then, watch has he votes twice more, using the voting buttons of absent legislators. Oh, yeah: and Rep. Kleefisch voted for stronger voter ID laws in Wisconsin. Seems the State Assembly needs some Voter ID, too, to prevent reps falsely voting as other reps. This is absolutely a disgusting perversion of the democratic process.

In fact, Representative Jason Fields says it happens all the time with both sides -- Democrats and Republicans. "Yeah, it's done when you have a conversation with your seat mate to know where they are at," said Rep. Fields. Both lawmakers claim it's not breaking the rules, because technically the representative is still in the chamber. http://www.todaystmj4.com/features/iteam/140096183.html Keep trying. ![]() You and your rant about the voter id is a complete and absurd joke. They just had local elections this week and guess what, it ran smoothly. Can you believe it voters actually brought their ids so they could vote! Its not discrimatory and is a good idea. Like someone said in the local paper "I need an id when I go to a bank or to get in a bar whats the big deal about having to show it when you vote." It works just like walker is doing a good job in wisconsin. Do us a favor and stay out of wisconsin politics. Its bad enough that obama is apologizing to afghans for burning some religious items! You never would have heard reagan say a word! Comeon obama!

The right to vote is just that, a right. It's not a privilege; it's a right guaranteed to all Americans 18 and older. Anything that makes voting harder, including obtaining a picture ID, violates that right.

Taking away felons' right to vote (in some cases, even after they've served their sentence) came into existence post Civil War, in the South. It was just another way to keep blacks from voting. One some states continue to use today.

![]() Face it, it really is very simple to show an id. Also you can get a free id. It is not discrimanatory. Get off your high horse! As for the person voting for other senators, it was in the madison paper editorial, that both sides do it, yes even the democrats. What a shock! Walker will win this dumbass recall. He's doing a good job and is reducing the deficit that he inherited from a governor who just ignored and spent money like its monopoly money!

can't help but wonder if that's far off. as for voting and id, i think the arguments against it are ridiculous. i don't know how anyone over the age of 18 could get by without an id-it's used for so many things these days. and i can't think of many things more important to protect than voting, and making sure it's free as possible from fraud.

![]() In IL you not only need to pay for a FOID card but you also have to provide the picture to browse, purchase or even shoot a gun. Until just recently it was also illegal to own a handgun in Chicago (even if it remained in the home). Where's the ACLU?
The constitution (2nd amendment) was thrown out the window and we're arguing about providing id to vote? |

![]() How many cases of voting fraud, in the national elections, have been prosecuted in the past 20 years? (you can google it)
How many of those cases could have been prevented by having a voter ID? (you can google that, too) The new voting ID laws attempting to be implemented by ALEC via their Republican hires are intended solely to disinfranchise the elderly, the poor and the non-white before the 2012 election. The Republican party knows how to read demographic profiles. You know: those folks that tend to vote Democratic. Voting should always be made more accessible, easier by American citizens. Not harder. That is why the courts are all over these states trying to implement restrictive ID laws. An interesting explaination about the demographics hastening the extinction of the GOP, for the disbelievers, is here: "2012 or Never Republicans are worried this election could be their last chance to stop history. This is fear talking. But not paranoia. Why 2012 is the Republicans last chance." http://nymag.com/news/features/gop-p...-chait-2012-3/ Quote:
The strangest primary season in memory reveals a GOP that’s tearing itself apart. How the 2012 Primary has revealed a GOP on the verge of collapse." http://nymag.com/news/features/gop-p...lemann-2012-3/

That's not a reduction of the deficit, nor a "good job", in real life. Can you name some things Walker has done that you think are "good" and have helped the state? Because objectively he's increased the deficit, lost jobs, and torn the state apart emotionally so far. Which is why he's facing the recall election, where half a million signatures were needed, and over 1 million were submitted. Those are some angry Wisconsinites. Look - you can support Walker, of course, but he's done the above, and that's undeniable.
