Default Fed Judge blocks National Defense Authorization Act

Quote:
MANHATTAN (CN) - A federal judge granted a preliminary injunction late Wednesday to block provisions of the 2012 National Defense Authorization Act that would allow the military to indefinitely detain anyone it accuses of knowingly or unknowingly supporting terrorism.
Signed by President Barack Obama on New Year's Eve, the 565-page NDAA contains a short paragraph, in statute 1021, letting the military detain anyone it suspects "substantially supported" al-Qaida, the Taliban or "associated forces." The indefinite detention would supposedly last until "the end of hostilities."
In a 68-page ruling blocking this statute, U.S. District Judge Katherine Forrest agreed that the statute failed to "pass constitutional muster" because its broad language could be used to quash political dissent.

Good for her - hope she doesn't wind up "dying from natural causes at a ridiculously young age" for deviating from the prescribed course of action. It's been going around.

The other link was pretty good, too. This one is even better. Post the other link again. That's one hell of a conspiracy theory: the maybe corner was killed because Breitbart was killed because Breitbart had movies of college Obama. And Obama spent time in the radical's salon and now is a radical himself, but Breitbart did the same thing spending time with the radicals and he's not radical?

Wow.

Just.

Wow.

I thought you'd get a kick out of that.

Name one politico that has come out in defense of the preposterous notion, dreamed up by the elected law making body of the United States, and most importantly signed into law by Obama - in the darkness of a night that all of America was predisposed with traditional Holiday activities so as to slip it by unnoticed.

Well, Obama, Romney, Gingrich, Huntsman, et. al. we're totally cool with it. Opposition? Paul and Santorum (who by the way also hates gay people and needs more unwanted babies running around because God will take care of everything if we only BELIEVE)

You would have thought Pelosis's uterus would have fallen out upon being informed of this barbaric assault on our Constitution, but no, she was in lock step with the rest of the Democratically swooned opposition that agrees with everything our Glorious Leader tells them to believe.

Of course it doesn't help that the war machine is in the back pocket of all of them, so anything that might restore any semblance of order, respect, and self-reliance hits them in the checkbook.

Keep on keepin' on. Obama being cool with gays + 3.45 cent gas = prosperity!

Sarcasm - I should take my own advice....

The reoccurring theme here is that I don't give a flying rat's asz about either of them - they both make enormous amounts of ill-gotten gains by assaulting the Constitution of the land I spent a majority of my youth defending. Feel free to google "wacky right wing conspiracies" if that gets your clit semi-erect - you should find it there, though I'd prefer not to hear about it. Thanks in advance.
